"YES, YOU MATTER ... YOUR PURPOSE AWAITS YOU!" is my heart-to-heart message to teenagers who are quietly asking, "Do I really count, and where am I headed?" After decades in K‑12 leadership, watching thousands of students walk across graduation stages, I wrote this book to answer that question with a resounding yes-and to show them how to live it.
This is not a lecture in print. It feels like sitting down with a trusted elder who has seen a lot of life and still believes deeply in young people. I walk students through three big journeys: discovering their unique worth, uncovering their emerging purpose, and connecting that purpose to something larger than themselves, including their school, community, and democracy.
